Day 19 of a Month of Sonny: Helping Hand, Friendships and Good Deeds—Those close to me know that I have a passion for helping others. Sonny was no different. From being an ear or shoulder to a friend, to donating her hair and giving her time; her heart was made of the purest gold. Often times she would be helping me assemble raffle baskets, cut 50/50’s and help hustle goods at many of the benefits I ran. She even encouraged her friends to join the cause. Her loving and giving spirit lives on through the memories many of her friends continue to share with me. It lives on in all that we do to advocate for blood cancer awareness.
