Day 26 of a Month of Sonny: Baby Cuddles and Naps—Being a new mother at 20 was scary to say the least. I had no idea what I was doing or how I was going to do it. I remember coming home that first day and thinking that 18 years was forever. I remember thinking I had all of the time in the world ahead of us. Some of my favorite memories of those first few months was all of the cuddling and afternoon naps. Having her fall asleep on my chest to the sound of my heartbeat while I smelled on her little baby head will forever be etched in my sense of smell and touch. As I type this and close my eyes at this very moment for a single second, I swear time was turned back and I can smell her sweet baby scent. 20 years was NOT long enough.
